During the April 2014 school holidays, the Parkland Explorer will be operating every day (subject to weather) and children will be able to collect free activity sheets from the Parkland’s Visitor Information Booth at the top end of Colin Campbell Place, close to the children’s playground.
Families can bring a picnic, use the Parkland’s many barbecue facilities or visit the Melange café on site. The Parkland has large lawn areas, interesting gardens and artworks which families are encouraged to explore and experience.
Date: 5th – 21st April, 2014
Time: Train runs between 10am and 3pm Friday, Saturday & Sunday and between 9:30am to 12:30pm Monday to Thursday (inclusive) through School Holidays.
Cost: Gold coin train rides, free activity sheets and use of BBQs.
Catch and Release Fishing Days
On Saturday 12th April, Sunfish will be conducting its Catch and Release Fishing Day. There will be a morning session at 10:30am and afternoon session at 1.30pm. Bookings can be made by contacting the Roma Street Parkland Administration on 3006 4545. Numbers for this event are limited to 50 children aged between 7 and 12 years.
